Updates since my last post till now, as well as goals for 2010 (in point form):

1. Got my Stowa Antea KS ( the post after this one ). Happy! and I think that should satisfy my watch-buying spree for the time being.
2. Actually saved up enough moolah to get a Submariner but decided it wasn’t worth it at this point in time. Got the Antea KS instead.
3. Learned how to play Mahjong, but not that good at it yet.
4. Get full sleeve tattoo: failed, didn’t even get any tattoo for 2010. Might have to postpone due to high cost.
5. Went for diving course and got the license to dive up to 12m. Fun times despite the rough seas. Lots of puking going on, but not me lah.
6. Design My own T-shirt: failed, didn’t really get around designing it and frankly I think I wont be doing it since there’s not much reason for the design. Can be changed to design to be submitted to Threadless.
7. Learn french: still ongoing.. need a more definite goal for this subject. Should get a short story book to help in studies.
8. Buy a property in Malaysia: failed pushed to be goal for 2011. Possible to achieve but some roadblocks in the way such as location constraint and financial arrangement.
9. Attend at least 3 design/flash related events: failed Not that many are around or those that I dont know about. Looking out for 2011 events.
10. Long vacation:failed Short vacation: Success! Went to KL for almost a week. Good times.
11. Design a poster for display: failed Again, pointless if there’s no message to tell.
12. Create an Iphone App: Somewhat successful. Did some researching and prototype using Flash CS5 iPhone packager. Some issues might arise if using this route to create iPhone app. May take too long to learn a new language to create the app.

Hm..
After a long while I’ve been inactive, I’m back!
Nothing much to say except, me and the 3 musketeers moved to a new place at Bendeemer, still working in Lion City and the place is pretty messed up right now. I’m living out of boxes and bags, like a bangla, sleeping in the living room and have to use my laptop on the bed for the lack of table.

Aside from that, I feel pretty okay considering I wasn’t the victim of the bedbug attack on the first night we moved in and pretty much had some itch here and there nothing major.

THE reason I wanna start writing is because the Euro is weak now compared to last year. And why the heck would the value of a currency affect a creation of a new blog post? Let me tell you!

As most of you probably know, I like watches ,a lot. Previously there are the Archimede Pilot Historic(No Logo) and Ball Arabic 40mm. And theres more BALL: Ball Fireman II, Ball Engineer Master2 Aviator, and etc. I present the new LIST! And at the top of it is a German watch, priced in Euro, hence it is now relatively cheaper to get it compared to last year! How awesome is that!

Stowa Antea Klein Sekunde

A dress watch with simple dial. Handwind movement, very thin at 6.8mm thick. It’s based on the classic design with Bauhaus influence. Stowa is a German brand and waiting list is about 2 months. I have my eyes set on this watch. As the Euro is currently quite weak, now is a pretty good time to buy the watch.

Clean face with blued steel hands. Understated and elegant…very class lah in other word..haha…

Here you can see the side profile of the watch which is pretty thin, suitable for a dress watch.

Shot of the movement(or engine) inside. It is a hand winding movement(that requires manually winding the watch to charge it up) therefore doesnt have a weighted rotor like an automatic watch.

Now mouth is watering and hand is itching already….Should I pull the trigger on this one.??!!

Went down to KL during New Year and finally got my onitsuka tiger shoes.

This will be my Chinese New Year shoe.. Theres lots of colors to choose from but finally settle on this red/black/white themed. This is my fav colors too.

Most probably will get this watch 1st. Very classic pilot watch.

Archimede Pilot Historic – no logo (~600usd)

Then, I will aim this guy over here. I really like the blue glow with yellow hands. Those are tritium tubes that is self illuminated. It should keep glowing for about 25 years.

Ball Arabic 40mm (~1200usd)

Should I save the money for the Ball, and skip the Pilot watch? Hmm..

Seems like a big step from a $100 watch(currently) to a $1000 watch. Decisions decisions..

Not forgetting my ultimate aim is to get a Rolex (still far away lah)
